A Server’s Survival Guide for a Restaurant on Mother’s Day

Not everybody has a sweetheart or a spouse but everybody, or almost everybody, has a mother which makes Mother’s Day probably a busier day in a restaurant than Valentine’s Day.

So, before we book our next reservation to make our mothers feel extra special (or worse, just show up in a restaurant without reservations), let’s think of somebody else who’s probably having a rough day—that someone being the person who spent the entire shift on their feet just to get you your food.

So be a nice patron this Mother’s Day. Remember, even waiters have mothers too.
